Oil overfill
Drove it like that for 100miles or so b4 siphoning it out. This past weekend, about 800 miles after the change I swapped out spark plugs and wires.
Old plugs are in good condition and will be cleaned and saved for future use.
Not sure if related, but I found a healthy coating of engine oil on all 12 plugs. On the threads, and around the base. It looked brown and relatively new. Any cause for concern?

the dealer overfilled my car and it gave me a warning. so if your car isn't giving you a warning, you should be ok.

In my experience overfilling with increase engine oil breathing. I would let the mechanic know of his mistake & it may not happen next time.

I overfilled once by mistake, and didnt see any warnings. But noticed oil remnants near the oil fill cap...5 minutes with a vacuum evacuator and problem solved.

But like all of you said, it was fine.

Any feedback is appreciated.
No, it is not a sound but increased oil being passed with the gas from the engine breathing pipes . These oil breathing lines usually enter the engine air intake & are burnt.
Sorry ,cannot help with the"fluttering " sound. Have you opened the bonnet & taken a look with the engine running? Check the oil level if you can. What car do you drive ?

I have opened the hood and listened. The sound is only present when the car is in Drive, between 1300 rpms and 2000 rpms. Only part throttle. I think it could be from some vacuum lines in the back of the engine, nearest to the firewall.
I have checked the oil level. It looks a tad high, but I don't think it's overfilled to any point of detriment.
