Craving for vintage cars..

I don't know where the idea came from.. But since modding my w203 here and there, reading many mb materials and pictures.. I have this urge or crave for a vintage classic.. Have you guys experienced this?

And this is what I have my eyes on..

What do you guys think? Should I go fr it?

Anyone ever get the itch for a car that harkens back to the early 1900s in car design?
Something like this 170v

I think the only cars that really maintain that aesthetic these days are the Caterhams and the Morgans. Both beautiful cars IMO.

Koop, I can't agree with you more. But searching for that car in that condition in my country? Highly unlikely..

both the roadster and sedan are beautiful, i wish i still had my 1983 S-class diesel, theyre very comfortable too. ive been thinking about getting one of the old s-class roadster convertibles, it'd be a nice car for a weekend cruise

Ah, I have actually been searching all the local for sale ads of those roadsters.. But damn.. I can't find any!

So I had to resort to my second choice..

Old Cars

Was into old cars for probably 40 years. After owning several AMG's, BMW's. Porsche, and Jaguars the older cars felt archaic and sometimes unsafe. They're great for parades or going to car shows, but they come up short as daily drivers.

That Compact is in very good condition.

This is what I want but I need to finish restoring my Jag first.

Mmmm.

That is seriously gorgeous.

I've always wanted a 2002 tii or a 3.0csi, but those will most likely never happen.

2002 C230K 120K Miles Just as good as new
I had a W113, a 1967 230 SL, with a 5-speed. It was a driver, not a candidate for a concours-like restoration. It was great, but it was my only car, and I was concerned about it blowing up. It was also a pretty high-maintenence car - oil change every 3000 miles, etc. I had a great mechanic, who had worked on them when they first came out. Every time I took it in, he had another suggestion to make the car run and ride nicer, mostly by replacing some bushing or other piece of rubber that had worn out over 30 years. By the time I got rid of it, two years after I bought it, it was in really good shape. I sold it and bought the W203 C230 K in 2002. I still have the C230 (135000 miles), but I ride my new BMW F800ST most of the time now.

There are some pictures here:

So true I have an MG as shown in my sig below. It is scary as hell to drive. It does not go, stop or steer lol
I plan to drive it to my dads house and drive it to work a few days by the second day my dad will have gone crazy and bought me a new car lol
