Location of the reversing light switch C230 Sport Coupe - 6spd

2002 C230 Coupe - Manual
Location of the reversing light switch C230 Sport Coupe - 6spd
My reversing lights don't work in my 2002 C230 Sport Coupe. I've check both bulbs but they are fine so i believe the reversing light switch is the cause of the issue - the problem is i can't find it - In every other car (that I've looked for it) it is accessed from within the car by removing the trim around the gear stick, however in my car there are no switches near the gear leaver and only the linkage going the the gear box. If anyone has a photo or diagram from the repair manual that would be great.

Have you checked the harness that goes into the bulb housing to see if there is any power going to the bulb socket??

Did you fix it?
I'm having the same issue on my dad's 2004 W203. Bulbs are fine but no reverse light.
