rims

I'm deciding to fix up my C230 and want to put on some rims. I don't want to go expensive and something simple. What do you guys think of this one:

I want your thoughts before big purchase thanks

^ I don't think they'll fit. They're meant for the W204 (2008+) C-class. You have a W203. I know for a fact that the offset (how far the wheels stick out) are different between W203 and W204. In other words, you'll end up scraping the struts, or scraping the fenders.

If you want to change your wheels, you need to look for wheels that will fit W203, or W209 (CLK-class). These ones are completely interchangeable with your car.

Those aren't even that cheap. Real-deal AMGs can be had on this forum for less. Personally I'm not a fan of aftermarket wheels unless they're from a reputable tuner like Carlsson or Brabus. OEM Mercedes wheels are tested to a VERY high standard and can take quite a beating without failing/cracking/bending.

LM Reps

These will fit your car. The wheels you posted wont fit even if they had the correct offset because its a set of (4) 19x9.5 wheels and you can only fit up to a 19x8.5 wheel on the front of our cars without any modification. But GL wheels shopping! Keep your eye on the classifieds on here or even check Craigslist. You can get great deal on wheels for half of what you are willing to pay for these LM Reps.

When you don't care about weight, it's easier to make a strong wheel. My opinion is that MB OEM/AMG rims are inflexible in size, not very attractive, and don't have a decent balance of weight/strength in general.

Carlsson and Brabus tend to be piggies as well.

To the OP - what price range are you looking for? What size, weight, color, width, purpose of car, etc.? I don't see how anyone can really give you any kind of intelligent advice or opinion without understanding the basic facts of your search. Though if you don't provide any info, you'll get plenty of unintelligent advice anyway.

thanks for your thoughts and replies... I'm still new in this hobby and trying to figure out what I like. I'm looking for 19" rims for my car. I like the patterns I posted up. Step lips, and hyper silver or machine. It's fun to shop but at the same time I better know my facts before I buy. Thanks

just like Tommy said, think about the look you are trying to go with.
check the official picture thread and see what everyone else is doing.
the wheel's offset is very important to avoid rubbing and the width also plays a key factor when deciding the offset and final look of the car once they are installed

I am sure if you contact them you can work out some type of staggered package deal for that same price I would assume. Also the offsets on these wheels will work on your C240 unless you want those offsets for other reasons. I have always loved the LMs but I would much rather have real LMs than reps! But thats just me.

I hear ya!

this is an old pic of my car before the face-lift and love the way how the rims looks flush with the body. But i am looking at some deep dish type rims. the offset on the rims are 32 fronts and 35 outback

Im sure if you shop around you can find some LM reps with those offsets in the staggered setup your looking for!! If not LM reps something similar in design. I wanted to be different so I threw some RT5s on mine.
