naw, mine snapped... and I think few other member's as well. seems pretty common problem with the grab handle snapping/breaking.

so much so that there is an online tutorial specifically about replacing grab handle.

never had I ever experienced this with any other car manufacturer's... not even the cheap brands. it's ridiculous.

anyway,

other then the grab handle...

car needs more HP.

even after you take your keys out of the ignition, long as you don't open the door, there should be still power so that you can roll up your windows, ala BMW.

would like a more informative info display.
i.e. you get CEL, should tell you atleast the code without having to hook up obdII.

you get CEL and the car tells you there is no malfunction... what?

ability to turn the rotor. it's stupid they make you buy new rotor everytime due to minor imperfections.

hand emergency brake. foot version is stupid.

on the M271, it should have been designed so the MAF sensor is easier to get to. wtf?

that's all I can think of for now...

Exactly the part which was snapped when the car was at the dealers lot (fixed before I got the car of course).

I forgot to add, I hate the IR sensor on the drivers door. It wont let me roll the windows down with the remote most of the time.

The oil filler cap in the M271 engine, I feel like a girly man when I can't undo it with my fingers. Only Hans und Franz can undo this.

This cap goes on easy but is a b!tch to remove after a day goes by

What do you mean? Don't it open with the remote key? I can press it on my w203 from pretty far away.

White w203 C200K Elegance
- rain sensor (too sensitive) and windscreen wipers (no slow setting? i have to turn them off and on all the time during light rain)
- foot hand brake (wtf where they thinking)
- no AUX or even CD MP3 player. (MP3's where common in the late 90's some forward vision would have been good)
- badly placed 12v socket
- back seats don't fold down

o also i forgot. my interior grab door handle snapped too. way too weak

2002 Mercedes c320 sedan
I really dislike the lack of power. It is ruining. I plan on putting a low to mid PSI twin turbo setup into her, but when is that going to happen?

I also hate the general lack of power. I know I am beating a dead horse, but I own a very nice c320 that I think should get more oomph than a c240, but it doesn't. The only nice thing about the power is the fact that she places it out nicely. I give her throttle, she responds, and not all jerky but nice and smooth.

I also dislike the lack of storage space or the (and I may be the only person who feels this way) fact that the coin holder is right next to the outlet. Of course my Mercedes is a hand-me-down car (and I am not whining) and my sister doesn't think of cars the way we do, she thinks "transportation and that is it" and I think "god with 4 wheels"

Well that said, my sister let a penny get in there and she plugged something in and it instantly shortted it. What a waste. Well that is another $70 to the stealership in parts alone.

THE C350
are you saying that your c320 has less power then a c240 and is slower. If so something is wrong with your car. The c320 is in no way a fast car but it is still not slow. 0-60 is rated from 6.9-7.1 seconds if you car seems slower then that I would do some investigating into why. My c320 has 161k on it and after the tune feels even faster then the day i got it lol

i don't know if i posted this but my number one complaint has to be the horn.

1: it turns off with the ignition switch. if you're in a parking lot and someone is about to back into you and your key isn't in the ign, you're f--ked! NO HORN! I love my car and i wanna keep it wreck free.
2: its really hard to press. i try to honk at people and i can barely press the horn once. forget about twice. you know the beep beep thing. its imposable.

I find the horn quite easy to push. Do you have pre or post facelift interior?

Hate brake dust. I never experienced this bad before on any others.
Lack and location of 12v sockets.
Cup holders (design and quality)
Paint, indeed.
Nobody's mentioning handling and ride!?

Swap out the brake pads for ceramics. That will take care of it.

Or you could just keep crying with a simple solution right in front of you.

The handling is much improved with an adequate drop, new sway bars and decent tires. But you're right, it's never going to be an M3, Miata, or Mini in that department.

I will never use anything not approved by MB, except bulbs (I’m using PIAA) - ceramics pads are not approved. Hopefully, they will come up with approval.
Handling and ride, was my sarcastic joke. Sorry.
Definitely, I may wish some more, like you mentioned, but I’m really happy in this department.

MB’s of all kinds.
What I dislike about the W203

-It could be larger. Even by a little bit. Backseat is near useless and almost no headroom. The front seats have little room making it very uncomfortable for 4 people to ever be inside. Hard to even believe MB would make a car so tiny. The exterior is fairly big but the inside forget. Car is very hard to get in and out of.

-The seats could be larger. They are too narrow around the shoulders and in the buttoux area.

-The cup holder... A total joke

-The interior is nice but seems to be very very poorly assembled. Unlike any another MB I have ever owned the C class tends to sqeek and rattle from all over. Becomes very annoying fast.

-The wood trim is very cheap looking and could be better and tighter assembled too.

- The gauge cluster is a joke and looks far too cheap for a MB. They should of used the one from the 211/209 body to give it some more class.

Overall I give it a 7/10.It is nothing special by any means but it is very fun to drive. Mine is very well equipped with most of the options. Nothing else bothers me about the car. It's 100% reliable, easy to work on, a great beater/work horse as I use mine for and servicing is no more then a GM cars I have owned.

MY .02 cents.

My first MB. Came from a A4 with quattro.
I really can't say I don't like the car. But it has no 'personality' if that is a good word.
I would like my Audi back Gave it to my daughter because her car blew up. 200k and still going strong. At least I can drive it once in a while

I only had the c230 for 3 months. Maybe it has to grow on me.

I should point out that some issues reported like back seats not folding were an option & dependent on spec level.

Rain sensor sensitivity can be calibrated with Star etc.

Some problems were plant specific but that's no excuse.
