You're going to notice a significant stiffer ride anytime you go with a larger wheel set up because you end up having to use low-profile tires... going with 18" or 19" wheels is by preference and how much your willing to spend... going with 19" wheels gets pretty expensive especially the tires which you'll have to replace through normal wear and tear so you have to take that into consideration... you're going to be spending at least $200 each on tires for 19" and at least $140 each for 18"...

whether or not you'll have rubbing issues depends on how low you are gonna lower your car, the width of the rims, tire size, and offset... but if you get the proper offset and appropriate tire size and don't lower the car to where its "slammed" then rubbing issues will be minimal...

most important thing is to find a good quality shop thats very knowlegeable in suspension wheel setups... they will be able to help out on that ... if you're in the LA area, a good shop to go to for wheels is The Wheel Supply in Walnut... go check out their website

Maya TTS is a good choice,.. I myself use 19" Maya TTS.
Here is some information, if you are going to "slam" it, you need to roll your fenders and use falken tires. I used dunlop sp9000 tires and I need to do alot of fender modifications (because of the rubbing problems), . Hope this helps,.. thank you

GO for 19"s!! 18 is too small man. i use dunlop SP9000 and they work great, i didnt need a lot of fender modification. The place you buy your rims from will usually do the "grinding" on your fenders for a small installation fee (bout $50). If you need any suggestions on rims and tires, i could help you out.

If you dont mind spending big bucks then Brabus is the way to go. I would definately recommend NOT to use Nitto 555 tires, they wear out really quick (or maybe its cuz my car is "slammed") I'd definately go with the H&R springs though.

well, I guess I am the only one here that actually regret on getting 19s. 19s are a lot heavier and worse in ride quality. Also 18s one piece look as big as 19s 2-pieces.

you could find rims in 19s that are light... for example... my 19x8.5 is only 24 pounds...

And they are also tight, unlike some other "light"rims. Yup, save the time and money and go for the 19's as everytime I look at my 18's I see pure fat. Fat tire that is....

I guess it really depends. You give up some power and comfort going with 19s, but it looks better.

The other day I was driving in Hollywood (nasty nasty roads with bumps and dips everywhere) in my 18's + H&R. I never felt such pain driving. On some bumps I'd hear my center console crack. Oh the pain...

Imagine if I were drving in 19's....

That's funny 'cuz that is the original reason why I didn't go w/19's. Sunset/Hollywood/Santa Monica all have extremely ****ty streets. Years earlier those roads took out a few rims of mine. But time passes and you get used to being careful and then you want to have 19's again...

if you want 24 pound 19 inch rims then you are gonna gave to get forged rims. they are pretty expensive. i drive a lot around the santa monica and hollywood/sunset area and if you remember the roads you know where the bad potholes are. when i first had my rims, i actually dented one on wilshire + westholme... that really pissed me off. but now i pretty much know where all the bad spots are and they are easy to avoid.
