is there a dash kit out for the 2005+ yet???

ever since an accident the am fm keeps cutting out at times, plus the dam cd player is jammed... would like to get a dask kit...

from what i remember from what i read a long while back was there was no dash kit?

Scosche makes a kit, check out my thread. The one on E-bay does work, but it's only single DIN. There is another guy who does a good looking CF kit that Rolllln and Phister have in their cars. The wiring harness is a VW one.

thanks... but the scosche links dont work no more ... maybe i should take this to a pro to get fixed... looks like alot of work, especialy to get those steering wheel controls to work

alright, i did a search and found the dash kit on a different link.

however there is no wire harness, i did a search and the volkswagen harness pops up?? is this the same? why does it not say it works with a mercedes c230?

the scosche is the one to go with.

the VW kit is the one for the 05+ thats what I have, thats why scosche has it on the harness section under our car. If you did a search or looked in our DIY section theres a WHOLE thread on the AVIC install and tells you the wiring diagram for the harness.

i like the Metra kits ALOT more than the scosche ones. if you do not think you're going to be able to do this, take it to a pro, don't even attempt to do it. alot of people might hate on me for what i just said, but i've seen way too many people &^%* up their electrical system trying to do it themselves. yes, it is a VW ant. adapter and that universal euro harness. you have to get a couple parts to do the steering wheel controls such as the steering wheel module and the CAN system module. then you gotta program it. not a cheap ticket on that either. but most definitely do the double-din install. you can get pioneer double din's now in days for 3 something (not my preference, but they're affordable) so it's up to you.

thanks guys, i am going to order the scosche dash kit, for the harness i will try to pick up localy cause the site says its "sold out".... there is the other harness thats in stock but that one isnt the right one??? why is there 2 different harnessess on the scosche site?.... can anyone confirm if the second harness is the correct one for an aftermarket cd player?? here is the link

i geuss for now i will order the dash kit and the antenna adapter cause i will need that right?.... hopefuly they have a harness localy somewheres.. ill have to call in now... let me know if the harness if good to use though so i can order them.... thanks again guys!

well i ordered the one on ebay, no brand name or anything... only place i could find the harness set with the dashkit and antenna wire.... all for 30 bucks including shipping, not bad price, lets just hope the quality isnt ****ty for the price... am i gonna be the only one to experience the ebay dash kit? lol would like to hear from someone with the same dash kit about the quality of it..

btw i think i will DIY install the dash kit, it looks pretty simple, only problem i think i will run into is the removing the vents.... for the steering wheel control is it hard to program?? it sure sounds hard, i think i will leave it out for now but if anyone can give me instructions on hooking it up and telling me if its easy or not maybe i may do it..
