What kind of deals are people getting with the C- sedans?
hey guys,
looking to get into a C230 Sedan or even 320 sometime this summer. I've read that I can get some good deals of the C-class, right??
Basically, I'm looking to lease for 36-48 months, and targeting a monthly payment around $350-400 (with around 1500 down). Is that even possible? I'm leasing a 330 right now for $480month, but the car cost 39K, so I would expect a much lower payment for a 32k C230 sedan??
thnx

Peet - How in the heck did you get yours at cost?
My dealer is bunk. They don't budge on much at all. All I was able to get is %500 off sticker (plus the $1,000 coupon for my ML). They made about $5,600 on my ML and I've had previous cars services there before. I would love to get a deal. Around here, it's not likely though. Keep trying. You may be able to get one off the lot with a discount. My dealer will discount with in-stock vehicles, but not ones that are special order. Oh well, I'm still getting a great car! btw, I'm getting a C230 (read my signature)
I almost forgot the reason I posted here. If you decide to buy the car, get a loan from a credit union. Everybody qualifies for at least one. The rates M-B offers are absolutely outrageos. I can get 3.99% for 72mos. and the cu where M-B wants 7%. Outrageous!!!

i was offered 4% by my bank and was offered 5% by mb..... in the end i chose to spend my money and not get in over my head with loans.
I got mine for a couple hundred over invoice btw. it isn't that hard to believe since I am also located where there are few dealers.

ff: yea, nice car indeed ![Wink](https://mbworld.org/forums/images/smilies/wink.gif)
In fact, exactly like mine.
Odd thing is mine was a 'lot' car... I had a coupe, you see. I hated the auto tranny and wanted to trade it in. One day hwile at the shop, I asked the sales guy what he could do for me. He was tied up with a Mybach sale so he said he'd call back. No sweat, I wasn't that serious anyhow. A couple of days later he says your car is here. A 6 speed with all the goodies showed up today on the truck.
I ran down there, and was surprised to find the sedan - I thought it was a coupe. But it had everything I wanted and drove great. Sold - then came the arguing back and forth on price. I simply stuck my wrench in the gears at $x per month and wouldn't budge. Oddly enough, I didn't know I paid invoice until the whole thing was written up! I took the paperwork and looked it up after I got home and was blown away to see invoice.
No matter, at invoice they still get a grand on holdback. Plus 95% of a dealership's profits comes from service and I'll be going to them for that as well. Plus they probably will make money on my trade - a <1 year old coupe.
Hope this helps you argue for a better price point.
