sport package vs regular differences
few questions, between the 2 cars, in regards to the springs, are the sport package springs the same as c55, amg springs, or just a mercs sport spring, and how much lower than the regular spring is it, and same for the shocks, are they tuned differently
and the exhaust what are the real differnces in it

the ss springs have different struts and springs than regular models, also it comes with #2 pads in the rear. If you want to know if its different than the C55 you can go to rmeuropean and see if the part #s are the same or not.
If you have an 07 C230 Sport why is your username what it is and your garage say C240? I believe the 07s have actual AMG exhaust with "AMG" stamped on the muffler, but I couldn't swear to it.
I got an 02 c240 from my grandfather as a gift. A few days later my auntie asked very politely if she could borrow the car because her piece of **** Cadillac was in the shop.... Again. Then I get a phone call. She got rear ended by some idiot in a suburban that thought it would be okay to txt while driving and cause a 4 car pile up. Lucky me. So, she was totaled, I was devastated. So the next day I headed down to MBZ of Long Beach, and 25 grand later, left with a white 07 C230 sport with a little over 18k on the odo.

I have a 2002 C240, with stock or lowered springs, the front sits roughly an inch higher than the rear regardless. The struts is what makes the car sits like the sport models.
I don't know if AMG and the Sport uses the same struts. I'm pretty sure they do.

but i do think there is a difference in sound with a sport c320 than a luxury c320, a little raspier, nothing extroadinary or soemthin g to write home about....but might be different
The difference is the amount of volume ( gas/air) that is being pushed through. I wouldnt expect an AMG, C32, having the same muffler as a 4 cyl C230...it might be closer to c320 having the same muffle as c32 but not a c230...thats my guess
Regardless, there's no grunt from my exhaust so I'm convinced that its just the tips that are AMG.
If by grunt you mean the noise a sports exhaust makes, mine does do this. It's the standard exhaust which comes with the sports kit on my C200K. It does sound more sporty than the standard non-sport C class.
2005 and earlier C230 Kompressor has is a 4 cylinder with supercharger so there is more grunt coming out of the engine/exhaust vs a 2006 and up which was switched over to V6 (no supercharger) with less grunt as some of you would call it.
Who produces the struts? Sachs?

The Sport Pack exhaust is just cosmetic
The Sport Pack springs are sport pack springs (not AMG or Luxury) - They are shorter & drop ride height between 11 & 15mm. The car's correct attitude should be nose down for aerodynamics to work.
The dampers are stiffer & the post facelift bushes are softer.

The struts do not effect the ride height. The springs do & the perch pads on the rear. The W203 has no front perch pads like other benz models.
