Glyn,
I know you've said in the past that 134 is ok for 5 speed, but I just would like to hear for myself as I'm getting ready to do flush #2 sometime soon.
Last time I went with the older stuff that the car came with.
Could the new stuff be the cause of slipping in 5 speed cars?
Or any other issues?

Regarding Glycol/Water in the fluid, according to the original Service bulletin, it's not supposed to be a problem at 100ml/Liter meaning like 10%.
Personally I call BS, but that would mean at 9 liters in the system, you'd have about a quart of the stuff in there.
So when they say <.1% thats 1 unit per thousand or rather < 1ml per Liter, which is nada.
To quote the Bulletin-
Perform repair based on the test result:
1. Up to 100 mg/liter of glycol contamination do not perform any repair (considered normal due to condensed water and not a leak).
2. As of 100 mg/liter of glycol contamination, replace radiator. Clean and flush the transmission with the torque converter and transmission oil cooler lines. Refer to WIS Document AR27.55-P-0100A.
3. If the condition is still reproducible after the flush routine, replace the torque converter.

2006 C230, 2006 BMW M3, bye bye C55:(
I need to do this as well since im getting some bucking and very unsmooth shifting as well![Frown](https://mbworld.org/forums/images/smilies/frown.gif)
So 134 for the 7spd. Which is best to get, Shell or Mobil? Also, how many quarts would I need?

Sure beats the $18 per quart the MB stealership charges me.
Oh yeah, my car had a tranny rebuilt in it just over a year ago when I first got it... it was $3000 to have done. Same place the dealer sends them to when not a new replacement. Regular maintenance may seem costly to do, but replacing or rebuilding is a lot more money & time.

The 134 is superior in all regards to the older product including maintenance of frictional properties. This is why MB has mandated it's use in 5 speeds.
