Speaking of Cold Air intake. Have anyone put some thoughts in making a cold air for the Air conditioning system? I mean, the location where it's currently design to take air on top of the battery area and with where the header is just heats up the air while we are driving. For natural air, it's always warm air, I don't think I want to turn on the AC on all the time for this.
I was wonder if we can get a cold air intake / force air to cool this area more, that way it would be natural cool air and not natural heated air. Also, I always wonder if taking air on top of the battery is a good idea, especially knowing the battery do vent and may vent chemical into the air which in turns get delievered into the cabin. I dobut the filter that is in the system is design for filtering out any other chemicals.

Just wondering.

BTW way, nice progress on the project.

Can't see it. Lets see some pics. Upload it to tinypic or imageshack or here. Can't see it because it's linked from your yahoo mail account.

any difference? what made you keep the crossing pipe as apposed to making one inlet straight into the intake?

Basically....

I had a 3 hour break in between classes. Took a ride to autozone, and bought some of that customizable air intake pipe. I have a 12' pipe that I connected two 3 inch couplers on. If you cant tell from the pic, the couplers go OVER the intake pipe and actually tuck into the two pieces of housing. I plan on fixing that tomorrow** (3.5-4 inch couplers). I did this all in the parking lot out of boredom and nothing else. To be honest, I didnt even think to use the other duct!
Even though I still have my air intake box (K&N filter) open, there was definitely a healthy increase in the noise/whine of the intake/supercharger. Very noticeable, it puts a smile on your face . I plan on closing the box tomorrow b/c I am scared of the hot air getting sucked in by an open box. I do feel gains in the 3-4k RPM range but I do believe those are from the K&N. This custom intake just really opens up the noise and I love it. $50 well spent

Updated picture**

Hey guys,

did some changes to the intake, much more sturdy and more free flowing this time around. I am very pleased with it.

Intakes for the I4 have been done and are cake, I think the real challange is for the M272 V6 engines 2.5 3.0 and 3.5

Karo any update? Id like a higher better flowing intake on my 08, you seem to be the only one trying to do anything with it.

Are you trying to do a 180 joint straight down behind the wheel well like I have seen on here or a set up still with the intake pulling air from the front end of the car in the grill area?
