Talking Another 2005 C230K SS Thread...

Figured I'd start a thread of my own on here to track my mods, as everyone seems to do.

Enjoy, questions are welcomed, and thanks for stopping by.

EDIT: Added pictures to this thread instead of linking externally.

I'm planning to post future pics here in this thread. Maybe I'll take the time one day soon to go ahead and put them all in here.

Mine are error free ones from eBay and they're actually error-free, work great. Not quite bright enough in my opinion but definitely great for 10 bucks or so.

Nice ride, JT!

I thought it was pretty **** to paint the disc hat, but I'm considering getting chromed wheel lugs because they are so butt ugly when I get them out (of course, I never see them otherwise)!

What color is your car?

I think it's interesting that (so far) you've opted for a flat badge but not a star grille. I like the star grilles, but I also like the standard star ornament and having both seems a bit much - so I haven't done anything there yet!

Keep those pictures coming!

Thanks! Yea I'm pretty **** with the car and I'm a perfectionist. Figured I'd paint the rotors while I had the wheels and calipers off. The car is 040 black.

For some reason, I can't stand the star grilles, I'm actually pretty happy with the stock grille so I think I'll just stick with that.

Looks good man - nice and clean... nothing ghetto! The spacers look good - makes me want to pick up some as well. Where did you get them and how much?

Thanks, got them from allsprings.com - they're the H&R Trak+ spacers, honestly don't remember how much they were, I want to say about $90/pair.

How are those projector fogs? They look like a great upgrade. Definitely gave the front a makeover.

Love The Fogs!!
Do you have HIDs or stock bulbs behind them?
Any Pics of them lit up?
How good do they do at night compared to the stock fogs?

Awesome upgrade and an awesome w203! My fogs right now are pretty bad, they shoot too low. I heard there is a bolt and you can adjust them up but haven't tried.

Thanks! Right now, nothing behind them, due to the reason described in this post here. Planning/Hoping to do HIDs. When I did test the HIDs, they were much better than the stock fogs. Honestly, since I have 55w HID headlights, I could barely even tell when I turned my stock fogs on and off. In other words they didn't make a difference at all. With HIDs in them, since they're obviously brighter, the beam goes a little further out front and wider on the sides.

If I can fix the problem described in that post by finding some 'short' HID bulbs, I'll def post some pics soon. Think I should try to go 4300k to match the headlights or 3000k?

Indeed, if you remove the black grilles there's a hole on the front that allows a phillips head screwdriver to adjust them. Very easy to do.

Thanks. The rear antenna was just glued on with gray automotive adhesive, same stuff used to hold on the badges on cars.
