Sunroof malfunctioning? Use/try this...
So many of us have had the issue where the sunroof will not close unless we hold the button. The sunroof should fully close when we tap the button. What appears to happen is that the sunroof sensor indicates there is a object obstructing it and opens again half-way as a safety measure.
Sometimes a re-sync will work and other times (unless there is something stuck in there) the rills need a lube.
Well I had this happen to me about 3 months ago the dealer, I bought the car from, sprayed the rails of the sunroof with a solution and all was fine.
Last few days I noticed it happening again. So I thought I'd stock up on this stuff to do it myself. Bought the spray, sprayed the rails etc and hey-presto, works fine again.
So I just thought I'd share what spray I was using.
The dealer used the saBesto HHS 2000 spray, which I had a hard time finding in store. So I purchased an Australian product, Nulon Ezi-Glide.
Just thought I'd share if anyone else was looking at a spray to resolve this problem.
Happy for this to be made a sticky if it warrants it.

If I bought the wrong spray, please let me know
. I asked if the stuff was ok for the seals/rubber etc and the chap says it was designed with sunroofs in mind.

I realize this was an issue also!! Because my sunroof will close fully or the safety device will kick in depending on weather so I knew it wasnt an electrical issue. I used high temp anti seize grease and havent had a problem since
