Why is my C230K Sport Coupe Stalling?

Why is my C230K Sport Coupe Stalling?
I need help! I was on my way home today and my C230K stalled out. Restarted it, had to give it gas just to get it to idle then stalled out again. This is a brand new car less than 2 months old. To make a long story short, had to call Benz Help, towed to the dealership and it underwent diagnostic testing. Even after 2 hours of testing they have no idea why it was stalling. Has anyone encountered this problem or am I the only one? If someone has some information it would be greatly appreciated.

A few members have had their cars inexplicably stall on them but then never happen again. You could probably do a search to find the threads...I don't think there was any real reason uncovered.

you might want to try a fuel system additive, and see if you have the problem on the next tank of gas, maybe you have some bad fuel

Yep, this is what i was talking about in my other threads. Issues that existed on the previous models but have not been fixed on the new models. Shame on Benz. Look, first im sorry that u r going thru the same crap i went thru. Second yes this is an on going issues with some cars. Some people think they know what the fix is, some sepeculate and some it never happend again. I never had this issue happen to me as far as stalling. My issue was my car would not start and they had to replace the ignition system. By the way my car was towed too 
and it was only 3 weeks old. I personaly have no idea. Only advise i can give is make sure u r putting the right type of fuel, make sure the octane is correct. Good luck

Thanks for the replies guys! I went ahead and did a search and found that most of the threads were inconclusive.
gmabm - as far as the where the incident occured it was in the city just after I got home from an approx 100 mile trip. I was traveling to my parents house and it just died while making a left hand turn.
I guess I will find out (maybe...you know service depts) tomorrow. But if they cannot find or fix the problem they are taking the car back b/c how can I feel safe if the engine cuts out on the highway let alone a city street like some have experienced in previous posts.

Since I had the exact same scenario (only two months old and nothing returned from diagnostics), I thought it might make you feel better to mention that it has never happened again--going on 23000 miles and year later.
Leads one to speculate... ????

Yes, you shouldn't have to settle for just hoping it doesn't happen again. It HAS to be an issue that MB is more than aware of. However, it is my impression that there are NO explanations for a non-recurring stall problem and that the most common "cure" for a recurring stall problem is to replace the fuel pump--but that should have been found during the diagnostics. There could be a sleugh of different causes for a one time stall problem--perhaps bad gas, vapor lock, temporary sensor malfunction...? Just sharing in my own experience--I couldn't reproduce it, sorry I'm no help.

Transmission Control Module
I had a similar problem - car stalled without warning at highway speed. It sat for an hour or so, then started right up again. Never happened again.
One dealer could not diagnose any problems. But another dealer diagnosed a faulty transmission control module, replaced it under warranty, and it's been fine. They explained it as a sensor that shuts the engine down if it detects that the transmission is doing something that could cause damage to the motor - sorry for my lack of technical expertise on this. Since the sensor was faulty, it was giving incorrect readings and shut the engine down. Most likely a short of some kind. Hope this helps.

my 2003 c230k had a problem with the engine dying
while going straight, just pressing gas lightly about 25mph
then bang the whole car dies, all idiot lights come on and
you have to restart the whole car to get going.
During this one trip the car died four times in about five minute
spans each time.
