brake lights always on
hey all my brake lights are constantly on except for when i turn my lights off i checked the brake pedal and emergency brake and there still on. could this be the brake light switch

Disconnect brake switch and see if it still ON

Please note that the brake light switch only applies to pre facelift cars - 2005 in the USA. It was deleted after that.

i just unscrew the plastic torx screws ? then replace that switch ? i found one for 16 bucks

unless you replaced the bulbs with the wrong type is the led brake light on?

well if the led is not on then the previous owner probably used the wrong bulbs. Single filament instead of dual. I would get the right ones and go from there.

brake light switch was replaced problem fixed thanks everyone. i got it all done for 65$ and a guy cleared some pending codes emissions plug really easy fix
