2005 c230 kompressor 2003 s500 94 wrangler
gear problem
when i shift from drive to reverse it just revs

i shut car off and it shifts fine.....this randomly happends

anyone know?

Sounds like your transmission is slipping.

How many miles/km do you have on your car? When was the last time you changed your transmission fluid?

If the cars is still moving forward & you select reverse this will happen. It triggers one of the limp modes.

Check fluid level as well.

i had the trans serviced10k miles ago..

how can i check trans fluid other than using a stick?

You really need a service dipstick & IR thermometer or Star. A dealer should really do a level check free.
