Center punch & penetrating oil is the answer to getting it out. If this does not work then you need to drill the damn thing out & replace. Be careful drilling that you don't enlarge the hole.

I had this problem with my TR6, I cut the pins and punched out each of the pieces with a center punch and replaced with new pins

Using a center punch may be making things worse. A center punch is used to make a small dimple in a piece of metal for the purpose of letting a drill bit find the desired center of the hole. A center punch most always tapered and has a sharp conical tip. If a center punch is used on a brake pin, you might have slightly expanded the metal, and made the pin tighter in the hole.

What you really want is a drive pin punch. An example would be Starrett S565PC. The end is flat and the shaft is parallel. This will allow the force from the blow to be distributed over the entire head of the pin.

A penetrant on the pin for a few hours prior will assist with removal from a corroded caliper.

dont use a center punch!! it makes it expand and gets it stuck as you now know you need a pin punch they are not expensive esp if you buy a set

I usually use a nail about the size of the pin. I flatten out the sharp part on the grinder. Always has worked like a charm for me.

Correction: I always use a drift punch not a center punch, only time I use a center punch is to make a dimple if I am going to drill out something. Make sure that it does not have a pointed tip but rather a flat end with a parallel shaft. My collection of drifts have different diameters that I bought at Lee Valley Tools. I also have a couple of brass drifts but those were used on engine and transmission parts (on my TR6)

Agreed - I used the term centre punch too literally/generically. Flat end required. I have a set of punches with different tips including concave.

Sorry - No - slightly smaller than the other pin you have removed.
