Harman Kardan annoying issue.
Hey guys,
I have a Harman Kardan sound system in my 05 c230. The problem is it's developing a rattle from the center speaker in the dash. Looks like its the grill. I've tried foam to shove into the grill crack, but no luck. Has anyone had this issue? Maybe a possible fix that I haven't though of? I can only imagine how hard it would be to try and get at the speaker to see if I can add something to make it stop. And it's definitely that center speaker.

If you hold the grill when it rattles & the noise does not go away it's not the grill. Speaker might be sun damaged & have a crack in the surround which you can fix with a careful bead of contact adhesive.
You need to be very careful pulling that grill out that you don't damage the dash if it has had a lot of sun exposure. The grill pills out.
Good luck!

Thank you for the help Glyn!
Yeah it does seem to be the grill. I put my hand down on it with a little pressure and it stops. Is that grill hard to remove? I'm guessing I can't just pull it straight out with a trim tool.

It pulls straight out. Just be careful not to distort it or crack the dash.
