why do you stalk me check engine light
I seem to have an on going issue with my 2005 C230 Kompressor with 113k miles that I have just recently aquired. The check engine light keeps just coming on. Nothing seems to be wrong with the car and it has eventually gone off, and then back on, and then off again.
I had the car checked over at the dealer ship before purchase and then about 3 weeks later I had to take her in for sparkplugs. The dealership said the code was a misfire when it popped up then. He reset it. Between then and now (say 6 weeks) the check engine light has come on and the back off a total of 3 times lasting upwards of a couple weeks and shutting off for a week at a time. Right now its currently on. The only thing different i have noticed is it seems hesitant when I take off fast; but that kompressor engine seems to make it want to do that too. It also seems to not to like to idle for long periods of time
Last tie in question - can I have them read the codes at like pep boys or Oreillys auto parts? or do I have to take it to the dealer everytime.
thank you for your help, its much appreciated.
or u can go to autozone for a free cel check
do not go to the dealership <<<<ripoffs they lied right to my face trying to get me to spend 3 grand for nothing
Also, have autozone or the like pull codes and post on here.
but the thing is the code NEVER came back...and if i would spent 3 grand it would have been for nothing...
and i know SA's get a commission on all repairs done
So in turn, can anyone recommend a good code reader for under $100 for me. Might as well invest now and save later.
Thanks again. after I get the code reader we will see were to go from there. As for now she is still running ****.

Any other online stores anyone?
Thanks

Edit**
Hmm.. now that I think about it, now that it's colder outside, if I don't let my car run for a bit once it's started, the car is jerks when I start driving. I was reading up on this in the forums and it seems like a common issue so I never really addressed this yet, I'd just let my car warm up or rev it a bit before I go.
Could this be the cause of the check engine light??

I bought the Autel EU702 but the cheaper one should be OK.
