New struts/shocks at 157k miles
My 2005 C240 now has 157k miles and still has the original struts/shocks. I was thinking it is time to change them the cars still rides fine but I am sure it could ride better.
What is a good replacement parts to buy for it?

Well. This all depends on how much you want to spend.
If you're okay with the ride, buy new stock parts.
If you want a stiffer / lower ride, buy an aftermarket suspension.
If you want to save money, and prefer the stock suspension.
Personal plug:
Buy my stock 2006 c280 suspension.
I believe it's the same one you have, but possibly a tad lower.
I've only had them on my car for about ~25,000 miles, everything is in perfect working condition. No squeaks, no leaks, not blown. Work as stock should.
I'm selling the set:
2x front shocks
2x rear shocks
2x front springs
2x rear springs
All for $200 plus shipping to wherever you are.
I accept PayPal. Shoot me a pm if you're interested

Hmmmn... I wonder how the handling would be if I upgraded the sway bars, and THEN put on a softer suspension... I have to admit, the car is pretty sporty. But at times, I feel like I feel the bumps just a little too much.

well with a softer sups you would have a less precise cornering ability, roll bars would prob undo any softness the lux suspension added
