Spencer's c230 Evolution...

Hey guys
After reading a few evolution threads I decided to give it a shot.
I would love to get peoples feedback and end up with a contributing thread!

Well here is my story,

This is my bone stock champagne c230 w/ 39,000 miles a day after I bought it 2 years ago when I was 16

Excited about my new car, to me there was no car in the world better then my c230.
My hopes and dreams of having a fast, sporty, and sexy Mercedes came to a stop when I experienced the last thing a 16 year old would want to experience.

At a red light a 70+ year old grandma was driving the same car and the same color as me...
She gave me a look as if she wanted to race, I put my head down in shame.

I quickly realized I have a grandma car and need to solve this situation.....

First thing I did when I got home was order a Flat Hood Badge and a Grille

Now we're talkin, I couldn't find any grandma's that could top that.

A couple months later I decided to go ahead and get my windows tinted...

Its not too dark and its not stock,
I'm debating whether or not to take it in and get it darker all around?

Not long after I get my flat badge and my grille, someone at school decides to put a massive key scratch on my hood.
It was pretty deep for a scratch, but I didn't care much.

But after a couple months it started to bother me, so I had my dad take it to his buddies shop to get it fixed,

unfortunately I cant seem to find a picture of my hood with the scratch,
but I do have this!

After watching them paint my hood for a couple hours, I decided to give my car a little more definition

I took my grille off and my emblem off and decided to plasti dip them flat black.

After plasti dipping my emblem and grille, I decided to go all out and spray the Vent on my hood, the side markers, and the Trim around the car

Getting a little too excited with the plasti dip concluded in chaos,
The tape I used to mask the trim stuck onto my car and left behind all the adhesive, making a mess...
Pulling the black paint off the car and creating spots... it just didn't work out as planned

Moral of the story, Only plasti dip easy to paint parts that are removable

Now that I got over my plasti dip stage, I'll move on to some better "mods"

On my list so far: []CF Diffuser, [ ] Quad MagnaFlow Exhausts, [ ] CF Trunk & Roof Spoiler, [ ] CF Front Lip

Two weeks ago I ordered an AMG style Carbon Fiber Diffuser

Thanks so much to Evolved8's Diffuser Tutorial,
My diffuser is drying in the garage right now!

I'll be posting pictures of what it looks like when I wake up.... in 8 hours

After a nerve racking 24 hours of waiting for the diffuser to dry, everything seems to have worked out well!

I'll keep you guys posted on the quads

To me, when people in a mature age bracket drive the same car as me, is a sign its a good car. But if she wanted to race... perhaps the maturity is premature.

Great looking car... even with the mods. I still like factory stock cars yet those mods do look good.

I forgot to mention one of the best investments I've made on my car was the Aux adapter/cable
Highly recommend it to anyone with an mp3 player

I need help!

What do you guys think of this;
Magnaflow exhaust + resonator + 4 tips... But no muffler... For less then 400 dollars at a trusted exhaust shop

How do you guys think it will sound? I did some searching around and found people with out resonators but with mufflers it sounded good, but I can't fit 2 mufflers the spare tire is in the way...

Id love some input on this

Most people here just pipe both tips off of one muffler. Honestly Magnaflow WITH resonator is loud enough for me...

Not really sure on how it would sound without a muffler. I have a muffler and resonator and get small but noticeable cabin drone.

As for the spare tire well, just have the exhaust shop run the piping between the inside of the bumper and wheel well and not around the wheel well in order to avoid a loss of back pressure.

Here's what mine sounds like if you're curious: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4Zb4bIMgtwU

Has a nice growl to it. Good luck.

Yeah the only problem is I'm not sure what the quality of sound is like with no Muffler

For example, I love the way this guys c55 sounds:
C55
And this one:
C55

And look at the way pipes are set up! These are both an option
Arekux's:
C32
Rollnnn's:
C230

Yeah the Eisenmann Race is insane

Do magnaflow's drone? whats so bad about droning is it just the annoyance of a constant noise
