More transmission problems

More transmission problems
I replaced my radiator because the transmission line was leaking. Before this the transmission was acting wierd and not wanting to shift and other issues. I though this was because the fluid was low. I just replaced the fluid and got it to the right level at 80C. The transmission is still giving me the same problems though. It does not want to shift out of first gear and it jumping when I go from park to drive. I hate to say this beacuse I am scared of the answer, but the radiator that was in there was the dreaded Valeo radiator. Anyone able to tell me some good news?

did you FLUSH the tranny??
if you just changed the fluid/filter thats only 4L or so i used 12L when i did my flush i kept going till the fluid was red (it started out black)

Please tell me you kept a sample of the old fluid to check for glycol. If the clutches are damaged by coolant you have a rebuild ahead of you.
Also check the electrohydraulic bush on the front RHS diagonal of the transmission for oil leaks. If the O Rings leak this will cause all sorts of misbehavior. This is where the TCU plugs into the transmission. The TCU is mounted under the front kick plate in the passenger footwell. Worse case is oil wicks up the harness & into the TCU. Please check this.
Please get hold of an OBDII scanner & read codes the car is storing.

I did not drop the pan. Could this be a problem caused by too much transmission fluid? I want to drop the pan and replace the fluid but I want to read the codes first. I can not afford to spend money on something that will not fix it. I'm already into it about 400-500

yes too much or too ,little can cause trouble
BUT you need to read the codes 1st
then drop the pan change the fluid and filter
many auto parts places will read your codes for free
