Front Number Frame/Plate
Hello All -
I have not put you a number plate in the front of my car (C 300 Sports 4matic 2008) for about 2 years but i got a warning recently from a cop and now i want to mount it asap. When i got this car, it didnt have a front plate frame. I was thinking of buying the below frame and mounting it but am not sure if i will have any problems. The bumper area is pretty narrow, so i am not sure how if this would even fit.
I called the dealer and they wanted 220 dollars for it - which i think is a rip off. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Do you think this would fit and is there an easy way of me doing this myself?
Thanks,

you can pick up a generic plate bracket at auto zone and zip tie it to the mesh on the front bumper. that's what I did. but then u have to hear all the b.s. from guys here. I have the stock one that came with my car, if you need it I'll sell it to you for ten bucks plus shipping.

Buy the no holes license plate holder that screws into the tow hook that way u don't have to drill holes and it can be removed when u want to. I've gotten plenty of warnings all by CHP, city cops where I live don't care! I've never put a plate on mine and I've had mine for over 8 years.

boooo. I should write a blog specifically dedicated to people who buy cars new and make them a list of things not to do to their cars unless they are keeping them forever. my poor car was so neglected, oil was probably 2 years old and overfilled, air filter was 3 and ripped. tires were dry rotted and had bubbles, clear coat was gone on the wheels, needed an a/c compressor two months later and I'd be surprised if the coolant was ever flushed. these are all basic maintence items and it's a BENZ. grrrrr. if he drilled holes in my bumper I'd have to find him, oh yeah, and I only got one key.
