E85 in 2007 c230 sport 2.5 v6?
Hey guys i recently purchased a 6spd 2007 c230 sport i notice a sticker on my gas lid it says "e85 or premium fuel only"
Can i run e85?

E85 is nice high octane stuff so you can run your timing more advanced - Adjustable with Star. Energy value is lower so fuel consumption suffers & alcohol portion only needs AF ratio of approx 9 to 1 to completely combust versus gasoline approaching stoichiometric at 14 to 1.

Since I have run 100's of gallons of E85, and I keep meticulous records, I will comment.
Yes, when running E85, I get 20% less MPG. But. in my area, generally E85 is 30% less than premium, so it is worth the decrease. Yes, there is better performance with E85. It is not earth shattering, but it is definitely noticable.
