Out Of Control!!
Yeah, that grille is very 202-ish; later ones didn't have the inner, skinnier parts. Look at the other pics on this thread - yours is much more complex.

You should give www.detailingworld.co.uk a look.
As for the grills, i've never seen an early one like that before. Don't think any of the UK/Europe sold models had ones like that? Mine and others local to me don't anyway. Mine doesn't have the thinner slats between the larger ones if you know what i mean. Though i'm sure the facelifts are different still over here too. Will need to do some snooping in the car parks

Yeah i've always loved the colour, one of the reasons i always liked this C Class too. I do car cleaning/detailing when i can, and have done the works to this one so hoping to keep it looking nice.

I'll be keeping an eye out for another grille like mine then. If i see it I'm going to grab it as a spare! Sounds worth it.

That grill was more traditional. It was only fitted for a very short while on Classic models in SA.

Nice car wunderless
Thanks for your comments anonymousmoose, i haven't decided what wheels & it won't be for a while yet, but i do actually like some from the newer models. The previous owner of mine has a C220cdi Estate now with the same wheels as that gold 4 door and they look great. Might go the elegant look (pardon the pun) or maybe Adharaz from the Sports. C32 wheels even, but don't want to make it like a replica.

Naturally, I like elegant looking Mercedes more than sports, but when I saw mine on the car dealers lot with all the sports options, I fell in love. But if I bought it brand new and ordered it myself, I probably would have gone with a wood interior rather than the aluminium. What interior is yours?
I've always like Mercedes, since I was a wee boy, for their prestige style. I would prefer an S class sedan over a BMW M3 any day... and that's must me.

Caddy CTS is a real pile of junk! Will fall apart in front of you. Withdrawn from our market - could not sell them here.

Thanks again for your welcome guys, it's really nice to join a forum and feel welcome and part of the community ![thumbs](https://mbworld.org/forums/images/smilies/thumbsup.gif)
Interior is light grey cloth, wood facia & door trims, no leather
Take bad after previous cars having leather but it's really very very clean inside & still has a somewhat new smell to it so it's not much of a drawback. Has original immaculate mats & don't think it's had many passengers, no smokers and no pets. Will get a picture at some point.
As i said before, it was a family friend that owned it before me. I was without a car for a while and after traveling around Scotland to see cars that were described as immaculate and were anything but, i decided that this was a good one to go for and i didn't need to travel. Not what i would have chosen, no, but i really am impressed with it and really like it. I can always add leather and nicer wheels etc but i'm happy with it for now![Smilie](https://mbworld.org/forums/images/smilies/smile.gif)
Always admired Mercedes Benz, also from when i was a wee lad so it's good to have my first. Having driven many makes & models, old and new,i must say... i'm glad i've finally managed to own a Mercedes. Will definately have another
