Woo Hoo! I fixed my radio reception issue.
I had the exact same symptoms as most on here with poor radio reception, and poor key fob reception.
Well, after reading a post earlier, and going through the fuse charts. I noticed my #8 fuse slot was empty. So I popped a fuse in there, and voila, great radio reception and to lock and unlock the doors, I don't have to point the fob at the eye in the handle.
If you have the same issues, just double check your #8 fuse slot in the trunk fuse block. I put a 10 amp in there, but not sure if it's the right size.

2005 C Wagon (No snickering please!)
This happens at dealerships when the parts counter is 42 steps away, requires a form, and a wait for the parts Bob to fetch the fuse. Your car, however, is 3 steps away in the next bay, fuses are available with no waiting, and there is future work for the shop!
I "lost" my rear view mirror in this fashion once.

Mercedes c300 2008 after replacing command unit and screen with aftermarket android radio my antenna reception was poor. I fixed it by using Uropean dual fakra antenna adapter. 40-EU56 it has two antenna plugs, power line amplifier that fit right into the original antenna female plugs. I got it in Frys electronic for $10. The reception now is excellent.

Is this the thing you are referring to?
Can you provide a little more info, such as where and how you installed this
and perhaps a photo?

When I drove my C230 home I noticed that the radio reception was extremely poor. It didn't bother me too much because I was planning to replace the OEM head unit with a double-DIN navigation unit. One of my other tasks was to repair the rear sunshade which was jammed in the up position. In the process of removing the rear seat and trim around the rear window to access the sunshade mechanism, I discovered shards of broken glass scattered around the back of the car and in the trunk. It became apparent that at some point in the past that the car had experienced a shattered rear window.
Antenna connection - driver's side rear - shown after it was reconnected
I also found the connection for the antenna in the rear window wasn't attached. I reattached it and my radio reception improved immediately. I suspect that the technician who replaced the rear window didn't check his or her work and missed this detail. (The technician also didn't make much of an effort to clean up the broken glass.)
I was discussing this with my mechanic later and he told me that they see cars on a regular basis which have had rear windows replaced. The clue is that no one ever cleans up every piece of glass.
If the fuse replacement does not fix your problem, pull off the trim on the left (U.S. driver's side) of the car to see if your antenna is hooked up. There is one torx bolt behind the plastic piece that says "SRS" on it. After you remove that, the trim panel just pops off.

Fuse #8
Fuse #8 for the FOB integration and the siren is a 7.5amp. I have a similar issue right now in that the radio reception and the key FOB is not working properly. New FOB batteries installed. In checking the Fuse #8 in the trunk it was blown. I installed a new one and immediately that one blew as well. This is clear indication of a fault in the circuit. In further checking I found that many instances of the siren module located in the right front housing behind the wheel well has shorted the system due to water or corrosion. My C280 is a 2006 version and I am going to remove the plastic wheel well housing and disconnect the electrical connector. Once I pull the unit out I can get the exact part number, go to ebay and purchase a new one. Here is a quick link I found
explaining location of the module. You can see that since it is right behind the right front wheel it gets sprayed over time when going in puddles. Good luck. I'll post upon completion with some pics.

I checked the fuse in #8 and found it was blown. I replaced with a 10amp and both the remote and the radio issues are fixed. Thanks.
