Help with Engine Problems
2003 c-240 with 43K miles, regular maintenance no problems.
Yesterday, the check engine light came on - I drove for abou 30 miles 40 minutes - I thought the gas cap was to blame.
I parked fo 8 hours and drove home ~40 minutes 20 miles - no check engine light, no problem.
Today - started it up and check engine light on - can't move it out of park - I checked the engine and oil in the bottom of the pan.
How bad do you think this is?
Any help would be apprecited.
Thanks

I assume you are taking comfort in the fact that your engine still has oil. The fact that your check engine light came on likely has nothing to do with whether you have oil, nor does the fact you cannot shift it. Do you literally mean you cannot move the shifter out of park?

things with and without wheels
If you can have the codes read at AutoZone for free, that will help out in finding the cause of the check engine light.
If the shifter will not come out of park position it could be a bad brake pedal switch.
