brake pads and brake rotor
hey guys i'm buying brake pads and disks for my 06 c230 and i'm planning to go with the balo disks but not sure if i should go with the bosch or with akebono brake pads. any ideas?

I would say they the stock pads have a slightly different feel and may bite a little better but the Akebonos bite really well - if not as well as stock, the difference isn't enough to worry about for normal driving - and there is MUCH less brake dust. I plan on using Akebonos for both my cars.

+1 Akebonos, i got the ceramic ones for my 05 c230 and no brake dust or very little. rims stay clean after months. i also went with zimmerman rotors which i found out also make the oem for benz, all is good in the front brake front...need to replace rears tho

Changed my rears recently. Can't go wrong with Pagid pads. Have ATE Ceramic rotors. Not too expensive. Very pleased. Saved a buck by staying out of the dealer.

The Akebono's or Pagid's are fine.
Funnily enough the only time you might miss the OEM pad feel & bite is in slow speed stopping & in the cold.
