when i stick my ear at the maf its right their
i know where the purge valve is but thats not the problem
could this be a leaking supercharger hose? like the recall? i had the recall done but cant it leak again?

I've just had my hood up and idling for a while several times over the past 24 hours. The ticking comes and goes - scared me at first too - but it's coming from the small box near the air filter housing with all the brake lines attahed to it (ABS area) - I believe that's normal. Not sure if it's the same noise you're talking about, but thought I'd mention it. I have other cars that make the same ticking noise.
PS - if it's the $12 hose, your idle will be rough and you will be throwing codes (i.e. you'll have a vacuum leak).

OK - So it's the ABS unit - I have never noticed but I try to avoid opening the hood.
