I think really messed up this time. I changed my transmission pan gasket, I noticed it was starting to seap. I measured the fluid taken out and added new fluid.
The problem is that I didnt fill it in the Transmission filler tube(after some reasearch I found it), but rather the tube in the front of the engine. It looks like a normal red dip stick but it doesnt have a stick on it. I was under the impression that this was where the transmision dip stick goes if you purchased one from a dealer. I checked the oil level on the instrument cluster it was ok. I opened the transmission drain plug and nothing came out. So where did the fluid go?
My car is stuck. Can someone I.D this front dip stick tube.

ok,
i just got back from the parking lot where my coworker has his car here is a picture from install university to compare
![](http://www.installuniversity.com/mbgraphics/w203/trans_oring/IMG_2550.jpg)
my car has a yellow top for the engine tube
his car has a black top for the engine tube
for the transmission the only indicator is the red retainer on the top.

I suspect you have filled the engine with transmission fluid if at the rear fire wall or the screen washer if at the radiator side of the engine.
This is the transmission tube as shown above but with locking tab in place.

And this is the engine dipstick hole (if it had one).

The screen washer has a yellow snap on rectangular cap.
