C32 Stock F/R
22mm/16mm

Evosport F/R
24mm/19mm
41%/98%

Eibach
24mm/22mm
41%/257%

The front can be adjusted to approximately 10% stiffer, and the rear 5% stiffer. The Eibach bars are way too stiff in the rear. There should be no contact issues with the control arms.

Thanks,

Ben

Thanks Ben-

I had to use a grinding wheel to trim my front Eibach bar because with the H&R Sport Springs, under compression, it was hitting the arm.

Are you sure everything was installed correctly?? I had Eibach sways with the H&R cupkit and didn't have any hitting problem.

I had it checked and double checked by shops who have done the installs in my area.

It was literally 3mm I grinded off just the lower corner of the bar.

It only touched under compression when I drove the left front wheel up one of those ramps for working on the car. There were no marks on the arm so it didn't happen under normal driving. I did it "just in case"

What I was thinking though was that with the mounting holes on top of the Evos, it might be close.

ok im really interested in buying a set of the eibach sway bars. my apprehension tho is my xenon leveling sensor issue. could i install these myself without having to worrk about this. i dont plan on changing the settings. would it be beneficial to have them installed where i buy them. i know someone with a lift and all that so i would like to save the expense of the install cost but i dont want issues with my xenon leveling sensor.

The xenon autoleveling issue is very minor. All you have to do is bend the U-bracket bigger and it fits right in!

Eibach sway bars are red. Evosport bars are purple. Both can be made black with a can of spray paint.

:b!tchslap: KWIK, I had my brain on backwards when I wrote this. The bars where almost touching at complete extension, not compression. I rechecked it last night. The suspension does not fully entend on the road, I ground the sway ends down for nothing... I'm-a-dope.

Question for Ben,
If I install underdrive kit on my C43 will it need to be changed out to oem system if I were to install a super charger further down the road? Or will it work in conjunction with ?Thanks-MOE

moedigga,

No, the pulleys do not change the crank pulley, and thus would have no effect on boost output of a supercharger. The only part you would need to change when adding a supercharger would be the belt. BrabusCClass has our pulleys on his Kleemann C24K.

Thanks,
Ben

If I'm not mistaken, the BMW's had lots of well publicized problems with underdrive pulleys, long before the 'riceburner' boys. There isn't much HP to be recovered...the altenator doesn't take much unles the battery is overtaxed or dead, and the power steering pump is likewise little used in straight line accelleration anyway. Anybody got dynos to back these up?

i am glad i did the pullies and you can definately feel them. i too was a little concerned about changing performance parts on to my new v6 because of mb warranty issues, but with pullies there isnt really anything that can go wrong mechanically. my car idles like it did before i put them on, and is as quiet as it was prior to installing them. check the other thread about these pullies.

SOME BMW 6 cyl motors had problems due to faulty cranks in early models, however neither our MB nor BMW pulleys change the crank pulley, so any arguments to that effect do not apply to us. In addition to the 13hp consistently gained on the MB pulleys, we have several dynos ranging from 8-12hp on various BMW motors.

Thanks,
Ben

Any sale for the e500 (w211) under drive pulleys, or even just a nice discount to yours truly?

Ben,
There are 50,000 more M271 engined cars out there now, many of us want the underdrive pullies. How about it?

Unfortunately, this sale ended a year ago. Fortunately, we lowered our price on the pulleys to $379--which is lower than the previous sale price.

It's in Russian and he is advertising something. Don't know if it's his own business but it's an advertisement.

I don't know why he would post something like this in a car forum. (He builds houses and is in the construction business)

+1 on the Ban
