Epic Tires
After a non existent winter in Boston this year, we finally got some snow. I was starting to think my new snow tires were going to be a complete waste...but thankfully not. My initial impression of the Master Craft Glacier Grip......WOW. These things bite harder than any set of snows I have ever driven. Don't get be wrong, the Blizzaks provide great snow grip for the amount of dry grip they also provide, but when push comes to shove in the snow, I would take the Glacier Grips any day.
Im currently running the same size tire front and back 225/24/17 which allows for a narrower width in the back as well as allowing tire rotation (both very good things). At $130 (more or less) a tire, there is really no better option for a dedicated set of snow tires.
Do not be fooled, these tires have a significant drop in dry performance due to the deep knobby treads, but then again these are not meant to be performance snow, they are 100% made for adverse condition traction.
If anyone is in the market for an incredibly safe and dare I say epicly grippy dedicated snow tire, I recommend these 100000%

I mean just look at these things....bout as deep as the grand canyon.
