So I officially hate insurance companies. The Collision center said my car has been done for a week, only thing holding them up is confirmation that the ins company will send a supplemental check. AHHH.
Now I am having an issue though. The body shop called and said the left headlight didnt work at all, and neither turn signal worked. I havent had it programmed yet for Xenon=present, should that do the trick or do you guys think the headlights are bad.

Well even before xenon setting if you leave the car off and just turn on the lights they should work fine it is only once you turn the car on that it checks voltages.
The turn signals probably need the bases bent out. you will see what I am talking about if you pull one out they have two little feet like things that make the connection for power just bend them out a little more and see what happens.

Buying and having xenons installed prior to working out the logistics of getting xenon set to present is extremely poor planning. As Trey said, the headlights should work if you will turn them on without the car being on. You'll have to fix the turn signals manually as they are not dependent on any computer setting. It's odd that one headlight would work but not the other?

ya I didnt have opportunity of taking my car to a MB dealership before hand otherwise I would have had it programmed properly. When you say turn sigals will need to be set, do you mean by checking the connections of the bulb socket, or are there more things I need to check. I too thought it was strange that only one headlight worked. Originally when the body shop called they told me that both lights were working and that both turn signals were not. then a few days later they told me only one headlight was working. Could that be because the settings are incorrect for that style light?

Ok so I am so lost on what to do. I went to a mercedes dealership today to try and get my car programmed for xenon=pesent and they were so clueless. Teyt had no idea what I was talking about, AND i even took in the directions on how to change it, and their reply was its going to take at least an hour to do that. He couldnt understand the fact that I had the directions right there and if he would just bring out the DAS system I would show him, he said come back tomorrow so I said no way and took off.. Then I called another indy shop and asked them, and they proceeded to tell me that changing the settings wasnt going to fix anything because the headlamps are after market and dont run off of the CANBUS system, is this true/?
So today I finally got to pick up my car and nothing on the drives side headlamp works, no high beams no low beams, no turn signals or driving lights. The passenger side lamps work all except for the turn signals. Could all this be because my car is still programmed for halogen lights?
Thanks for any advice.

Okay dealers are like that. And people who tell you that changing the settings don't matter are foolish. But we can't do this for you.
Check the connections on the non-working lamp. I had this happen.. freaked me out. Turns out, I just hadn't pressed the plug into the connector on the headlight hard enough. One side was pretty easy but the other side I really had to push hard before it snapped in. That's likely your problem with the one that nothing works on.
The xenon=present setting has nothing at all to do with turn signals, driving lights, city lights, fog lights or anything of that sort. ALL it has to do with is what the car sees as normal power draw from the headlights. Xenon bulbs run at 35W compared to 55W halogens. Xenon=Present just means that the car computer doesn't see 35W as a problem. That is all it does.
Trey and I have explained the likely problem with your turn signals. Please re-read the thread.
You need to:
Check connection on non-working lamp. Plug the connector in hard, you won't break it.
Check socket on turn signal connector.
Get Xenon=Present programmed by someone, anyone.
Until all this is done your lights aren't going to function. Accept it.
