By OBDII convention Bank1 always contains cylinder 1.

great thanks guys, now that i narrowed it down to the d/s, which cam sensor is the exhaust?
i see 2 per bank, I presume one is intake and one is exhaust, the faults im getting indicate the "bank 2 exhaust cam sensor" is bad
any diagrams avail to ID the exhaust sensor?

It is likely not a cam sensor issue. What is the DTC # you got? It is likely the notorious M272 cam position magnet issue. Check out this thread: https://mbworld.org/forums/c-class-w...-bank-1-a.htmlOriginally Posted by baymotorsports

That is one of the codes for the magnet issue. Change the offending magnet and not the sensor to fix it.Originally Posted by baymotorsports
