I am in campbell all the time, well near it, usually around saratoga and stevens creek. Ehn I don't know about smooth, when its just me and one other person its as smooth as can be, but when I have a full car 680 is a death zone to me, all I get is rubbing. Got to get my inner fender grinded more but my rear jack point on the right fell off so I got to figure something out before my trip to LA next weekend

Chapter 13: Speakers

After I got my new pioneer head unit it was pushing to much power to my speakers and 2 of them blew out. So I got 6 1/2 alpine type S speakers all around. Sounds really good, happy with them and would recommend them.

Now to the bad news. So I was parked this morning out side of frys electronics looking at speakers inside before I got them installed. I went inside and when I came back to my car 45 mins later my roof spoiler was gone. I am pretty sure it got stolen at frys because I was at bestbuy before and I am sure it was on it when I was there because when I was getting out of my car one of the employs who was walking by my car asked to take a picture of it to post on a BMW form (because of my plate obviously). After I realized my roof spoiler was gone when I was at frys I called bestbuy and talked to that employ (I remember that he was wearing a apple specialist shirt and he was the only apple specialist at that store) I asked him to text me the pic which he did and it was still on in the pic. So either its somewhere in between bestbuy and frys or someone stole it at frys, either way it sucks.
I feel like somethings missing now when ever I look at the car.
So now I dont have a roof spoiler, but thats on the top of my mods list now

Funny how the roof spoiler gets stolen on chapter 13 (unlucky number) of my build thread
heres some pics of the car getting the speakers installed and without the roof spoiler

Sucks that's why I do my own work... I never trust places with my car unless they were referred to by my friend since their paint shop has good connection and trust in them.

you didn't go for components in front? I love that I have my components in my car, sound so clear and great watching DVDs in the car.

Well the roof spoiler getting stolen wasn't really relevant to the installers, it happened before I even checked in the car, the same guys there that installed my head unit did the speakers and they seemed to know there sh*ty about cars so I trusted them with it. Are you running a speaker amp?

I love the z140bh, Android and Bluetooth are great, no more 3mm jacks. The live traffic during nav is a bonus too. Had to put in a new antenna amplifier because the old one broke apart trying to remove.

They use navteq now and partnered with total traffic network. The voice control is a plus too, didn't think I'd use it but I do write frequently.

Radio is clear and in hd. Thought it was going to be staticy but its not. Just had to wire antenna amplifier to the black antenna wire on the harness.

which black wire are you talking about?

i was using one of these wired to my power but it was giving off a bit of interference (before i fixed my h/u though not sure what itll do now) i was going to reconnect it tomorrow. did you somehow wire it to the second small square antenna?

thats were my mics mounted too, well myn is more behind the rear view mirror so it is out of sight but its not like completely behind it its a bit above so it can easily hear your voice. My mic is for the blue tooth though, sadly no voice control

Chapter 14: Rear view camera

So I deciede to get a review camera installed. A lot of people would think it is a waist of money but I have a 3 year old sister who plays out side and she is to short to be seen if I just look behind me, also I have a lot of neighbor with kids between the ages of 3-7 and they all play out side a lot. To me any amount is worth it to make sure my sister and all the other kids on our block are safe. Pretty happy with it, great quality and clarity, plus it shows how close and far the things in the rear are. Automatically goes to the rearview camera when the car is in reverse and has night vision.

The car looks great man! Keep it up! the LM's look awesome on the C230's, I have the same ones but I changed my center caps to a grayish color so it kinda flows a little bit better. I dropped my car as low as it can go on H&R coilovers, Love them!

Thanks! We actually have the same exact reps, the guy you bought them off bought them off of the same guy that I bought myn off I am pretty sure. Did you ever have rubbing problems on yours? When I have 4-5 people in my car it rubs like crazy on the freeway and sometimes just during city driving. The reason I have been worried about going lower was I didn't want more rubbing. They look super clean on your car btw, love the black and gun metal!

Oh really? I didnt know that.. As far as rubbing issues, once my car settled as far as how low it goes. It was rubbing on almost every bump i hit. I ended up getting my fenders rolled. Once I did that, I havent rubbed at all even with people in the car. I should take updated pictures of my car, its been a while. I have yet to put on my front CF lip.. Kinda worried about scraping it because my front end is pretty low already. We shall see!
