Pics of my Coupe with H&R springs and an OMP harness :)

Hello-

So here are pics of the car with the H&R Sport Springs installed. Also a nice clear pic of the harness I installed for autocrossing. <- This thing rocks.

The harness is great. Installs at the factory seat mounts and the lower hinge bolts for the bottom of the back seat.

Last one of me in a sea of Lexus last weekend.

Sorry the pics are funky.

They were taken by three different people with three different cameras.

Wash it... naw... I am trying to compete with another AutoXer for the most brake dust, bugs, and paint chips....

The harness is attached at four points. The two lap belts are bolted in with the stock seatbelt mounts. There is one on the right side of the drivers seat. The other is bolted down on the front most bolt on the belt rail to the left rear of the drivers seat.

I bolted the shoulder straps to the point where the lower part of the rear seat is hinged to tilt forward. I pulled the plastic cover off, lifted the lower seat panel, placed the bracket, and replaced the seat, the nut, and then plastic cover. So, when you aren't using the harness, it just sits on the drivers side rear floor. It's really useful and convenient. It is tight and works well. I would recommend a five-point though. When the shoulder belts are tightened up, the lap belt rides up a litte. The fith point would prevent that.

I want more people to get involved too. It is an awesome good time and I have meet a lot of great people who are also true enthusiasts.

Here are a couple more pics I found on the web from the 06-15 Nasa event. Sorry I haven't found pics from 06-28 bmwcca event. The car isn't modified in these pics except for rear H&R springs which was a funny experiment. It created significant oversteer that worked amazingly on the tight autoX course but was down-right scary on the street.

Not sure what part of the course this is at. The photographer was using high-speed film, so yes, I am moving.

Hay Nukblazi,
I see on your sig it says you are ridin on Bridgestone Potenza S-03 225/45F, 245/40R... but i see the stock 17 rims on the car?!!! The stock 17s are 7.5 inch wide...I thought you couldn't go wider than 225s on it?!!!! I been thinkin about Toyo 235s but wasn't sure it would fit right.... could you please let me know, was it easy to install, do you have like bulging, how the car handels/feels, do you have to be carefull not to push it?!!! any feedback be cool....thanx in advance

Cool.

By the way, Yahoo isn't letting you link the second and third pics.

I've had no problems with the 245/40s on the 7.5 stock C7 wheels. I've had even tread wear, I can push the car hard autoX'n. I get excellent rear traction. The negative is that there is some slightly noticable increased deflection when the tire pressure is at "street levels" i.e., 34 psi. When inflated for autox, 36 -38, it is fine. Honestly, everyone recommends against 245 on the 7.5. It is not the right application, it has just worked for me, but I am not saying do it, I am just saying I've had no problems. There is a 8.5 C7 wheel availible through Harris and possibly others. 235s should be just fine.

I posted some pics of my tire wear from autox on the NASA autox thread I started in this forum.

Trench- I see the pics. Please let me know if you still can't and I will attached them.

You can see them because they are already in your computer's cache. The rest of us are getting the dreaded "boxed red X."
