Magnaflow Help!!!

I am a new member to this forum and i have a 2002 c230 kompressor. I recently got my hands on a Magnaflow 11124 muffler. I don't know if it will work out because i would most likely replace it with my original muffler. If anyone knows anything about exhaust please lmk trying to get it installed once i make my mind up. thanks

any competent exhaust shop with someone who can weld will cut your stock muffler down and weld the magnaflow in place. pretty standard issue mofication done about a billion times via this forum. (searching helps)
im not familiar with magnaflow part#s but if it's a single inlet, you're ready to go with it.

Does anyone know the pros/ cons of the magnaflow over the stock muffler? Hp or fuel stats? Or if it will even make a difference.

No one has really shown much of a change in hp from an exhaust, unfortunately. Generally done for sound or appearances.

Change to MPG would also be minimal.

If you haven't changed the sc pulley, that's the one proven mod that will make you smile. Chipping is generally a good idea too.

Mb makes really nice OEM exhaust. As Tommy said its more just for sound, its not like imports that help a bit more due to their tiny piping.

It is all Matt's fault. I knew as soon as Matt Plasti-dipped his car, someone would Plasti-dip their entire Benz

Would a chip be better than a cold air intake? I'm looking for power. I've seen a few c230's with in k&n's and they look alright.

K&Ns aren't going to do much for you, more of just an air filter. When you say chip do you mean a tune? and I have a cold air intake..a jankie one that is, I feel a faster response time and more power with it but I am 99% sure its just in my mind. Our cars aren't the greatest to mod for power unless you have a cool amount of money to drop on it, and considering how much they are worth it would just make sense to buy a faster car. The exact reason that I am in the market for a C55

, I took most of my plasti dip off last week and went with either flat black in some parts and gloss in others, only that bottem part of my bumpers plasti dipped. Once the rain ended here and the sun came out I realized how ugly it looked

As pdiddy said, a CAI is pretty useless in our cars. If you want, replace the panel with a K&N drop it; you'll get the same basic effect without the worries about tubing, etc. Don't get a Green drop-in; mine disintigrated on me, and others have had pretty spotty quality with theirs.

Yes, a chip would be much better. As indicated by my sig, I went with OE; had to ship the ecu to them; took 2 days, mostly because of overnight shipping with FedEx to and from SoCal. There are a couple others who do it as well; every so often, one of them will have a special and post it on here. Chipping will pump up your boost a little and compensate with a slightly richer mixture. It's worth it, especially on a special here, if you can catch one.

But really - look into the SC pulley if you don't have it, first.

It wont peel unless unnessesary force is applied to it and if it does you just reapply. Body 2weeks but rims 3months.

I know this is going to sound stupid but I have been wondering this recently. When you ship them your ecu can you still drive your car during the time that you don't have it?

No, the car will not run without the part that tells it how to run

The cheapest pulley that i can find is around 750$... And the chips are not far from it.
