Both my neighors are HWY patrol and one state. They use the do not need to use the lazer gun to track peoples speed or any speed calculation device. They are speed certified annually within 1 mph. But the way the laser gun works is obviously they aim it at your car. They usually aim for any shiny part of your vehicle. Including headlamps and in your case you do not have a clear lense so they cant use that. They usually aim for the plate... hood etc etc... grill bumper etc etc. And it only works when its on a reflective surface if not they do not get a reading. The radar will work though lol

A flat black would look good. I dont like the plasti dip's tint of brown in it sometimes. Its good you can easily peel it off. I would have also considered using a flat black foil wrap. Just curious, how many cans did you go thru for this project?

Car reminds me of a mx-3 that's around my neighborhood that its primered black. It just looks like its been wet sanded and not buffed and polished. I would've went for a matte black in vinyl but that's me. Also instead of blacking out the amg just remove it.

Why would you do this to a beautiful car? You plastic dipped your car man! I do not understand why people do this to their cars. I know its all personal preference but you are spraying a $6 can of whatever the hell that is made of on a $15k car?

I understand to each their own, you do what you like, but good god that looks terrible. At the end of the day people post pictures of their car to show their car/mods to the rest of the enthusiast community. If you didn't want feedback, you wouldn't have a need to post pictures. You've posted pictures and many have posted their opinions. I'm with everyone else, you've turned a sharp European sports coupe into a cheap looking high schoolers car. In the end yes, its in your taste, and you mod your vehicle however you like it, but in the eyes of a fellow enthusiast...its looks awful. And let's not be childish telling people to post their cars, sort through only the first page of the forum and you will see plenty of tastefully modded W203's.
