How rare is the 2005 C320 Coupe - units sold in North America

In 2003 when it was introduced, they offered a $6,000 (!!!)
incentive, which brought the price down from 28K to 22K.
I was kicking myself at the time, wishing I had waited a year, spend the savings on a
Kleemen supercharger for 350 HP.
Yeah, 2005 here in the US would be particularly rare, and with a 6 speed Manny,
super rare. I've never seen one.
An 05 c320 Coupe w/ 6 Spd manual is on my list of future projects, to mock up as a "track" car and swap necessary block or at least bottom end/crank case with that of the 3.7L.
There really aren't any tracks around here to race on, other than drag-strips, so it'd just be something for fun for the back roads.
Just cant bring myself to give up on looking for an 05 considering the facelift.

I was hoping to find an ‘05 6 speed C320 coupe but the one I did find was beat to hell.
This one has a few more miles than I’d prefer but I have confidence in the M112 and it’s had a good maintenance history.
It was also nice to see that it had upgraded suspension/sway bars I don't know if this became became standard in '05, but most of the other Coupes that I viewed weren't equipped the same.
Lowered ride height
Front/rear enlarged stabilizer bars
225/45ZR17 front/245/40ZR17 rear high-performance tires
17" x 7.5" front/17" x 8.5" rear 7-spoke alloy wheels
Sport-tuned exhaust system w/polished stainless steel exhaust tip

The C320 coupe are e85 compatible and running it eliminates the carbon build up this Gen vehicle has.

If you see any more 04/05 similarly equipped 320 coupes shoot me a message.

What I’ve found is that most of the ones I’ve come across are in the PNW or San Francisco Bay Area. I was searching a 1000 mile radius from Vegas.
I came across a lot of 230k Coupes and most of them had cloth interior. But once again seems they’re all in the same area. Another oddity is the nice ones i found were all desert silver.
I’ll definitely let you know if I see anymore. I’m always looking for something interesting.
Lucky you having some e85 to feed it semi local. Cars love that stuff in hot weather. It’s 100+ octane, burns cooler & scrubs the t/b & internals clean.
I’ve only seen one manual 320 for sale in NY, a red one for $8k +. Too afraid of rust and kinda over red vehicles.
Did Power make u pay the full ask after they lowered it or did they come down a little more?

However, after owning a W220
I don’t even look at replacing an engine as a challenge in this car. I find this to be a much simpler car from a maintenance standpoint so I’m mentally prepared to deal with it. If the body and interior are intact I can deal with the rest. It’s almost a given when dealing with a 20 year old vehicle. Calculated risk I suppose! The saving grace is that I can do most of the work myself.
As for price I got it for $1600 less than their original asking price.

Initial findings, needs rear brakes, sunroof not working (can hear the gear in the motor), could use a front end rebuild, motor mounts are actually good, battery is 5 years old, smells like it’s been sitting for awhile, but otherwise runs and sounds good. I’m looking forward to diving into it!

How many miles and what did you have to give for it.
I'm also looking for one.

I saw this on Facebook marketplace. It seems like a well-optioned car. In addition to the manual transmission, it appears to have Bi-Xenon headlights, leather interior and memory seats.

a member was selling his 05 way back in like 08 or something, and for whatever reason he swapped me all his 05 goodies
including the BIX for my 02 bits, $600 and my labor. I don't think he really needed the money, but so glad he was willing.
We did the work in this huge facility in the Central Valley CA, where his family's wholesale produce company operated from.
I had to take the stuff off his car, put mine on his car, and vs versa. Took the whole damn day!
I pity the po foo that got an 05 with 02 stuff on it, and Bix gone. So I got the tail lights, blinkers, Bix...I guess thats it.
Already had switched to clear fog lenses and the 05 grill.
I wonder if you could find a Kleeman Supercharger kit for this? Now THAT would be something.
It's interesting how a C Coupe sells for more than many other Mercedes models these days.
I think you can get an S Class or CL for a better deal than an 02 Kompressor or C320 coupe.
In the UK you can buy a CLC (same car styled like W204) for waaaay cheap in perfect condition.
As little as ~$2000 for a CLC220 cdi with maybe 120k miles. And 50 mpg.
But of course the idiots at MB decided to exclude us from those .
You are wise not to mess with the 1.8L engine. Pure crap. Only downside of the 320 is the 12 spark plug tune up
and lower mileage. Otherwise great engine! No E85 around here. Sounds interesting.

Im partial to the M112’s and M113’s. Some of the best, most reliable engines I’ve ever owned….minus updating the crank pulley and fighting valve cover leaks.
As for good deals on a W220, just the NA models. I have an ‘03 and they’re the cheapest of the M113K cars because MB packed them with every imaginable gadget at the time and stuff fails with age. It’s a love/hate relationship with the ABC system too.
