"A Mercedes-Benz product"
just saw an '04!!!! c230 sedan....

hey guys, I just went to my dealer in Pompano Beach and I came across a 2004 sedan.

so here is whats changed....
1) aero wipers
2)the rain sensor cluster on windsheild looks different...with 12 or 13 sensors rather then just 3.....just like on the new E-class.
price is up just a few hundred!

I called the other day and they said they were anticipating a mid year facelift. for '04

Okay, I checked out our '04. I forgot to look at the rain sensor area. But it does have the new wipers which are just a strip of rubber with a hard spine that holds it flat. It is only attached to the wiper arm from a central pin.

The center console upper tray now opens with buttons on either side and can open to the left or to the right, but not by pulling back. This is similar to the new CLK design. The bottom tray still opens the same way.

And finally, the door lock pins are the same as the ML pins. It is more of a straight pin instead of having the wider top.

And that's all I noticed so far.

ya matt thanks again

man why are they keep changing everything???

its bad enough the model last 6 years but every year they seem to make minute changes and its annoying to owners like me that want to updated

there was already a change from 02- 03 with some interior buttons and slight changes why are they making some from 03-04?

anyways i am more interested in the mid 04 facelifted.

is the wiper same with the one in E class? which use only one strip of rubber with a hard spine?. If it is the same, then it will have very loud noise, very very loud noise!!!!!! look and search in W211 forum.

what is this facelift going to be? anything serious, or is it going to be minor changes. I thought they wouldn't give car a major facelift until 2005+ ....

What are the upper and lower trays you're referring to? The only things that come to mind are the cupholder, cigarette/coin tray, and bin below single-DIN stereo. Please advise, thanks!!

Yes, the center armrest. The upper (smaller) compartment has a small shelf for tele-aid buttons.
