Easy pass and rain sensing wipers
Does this get the odd specific question of the week award?
I got an Easy Pass sender (and auto toll thing for those not from the northeast). Before mounting it, I was wondering if the recommended location, near the top of windshield, to the right of mirror mount, would interfere with rain sensor. If it is above the wiped area, does that avoid any problem?

I have a similar device to EZ-pass installed on the inside of my windshield. I mounted it dead center of the windshield, about 1 inch away from the plastic housing where the rain sensor is mounted. Both the RS and EZ-pass device have been working perfectly for 6-weeks so far.

I have placed the EZpass device right under the rain sensor as well and they both have been working just fine for 6+ months...
it would have been cool if the ez pass thing was black....j/k :p

Right next to the inspection sticker... it works great. No problem yet. It also is a bit less obtrusive than sittin in the middle of my windshield. I see some mounted in the license plate holder. I would worry about someone trying to steal that. Seems like a simple screw driver or wrench could take it off in less than a minute.

Since I was looking to install my windshield EZ-Pass and we are discussing rain sensors, does anyone have a pic where they can circle the rain sensor? My car has it and I would like to know exactly where it is. Thanks.

EZ Pass has been up for over 2 years with no problem.
I noticed that the ticket happy police in NY want to see that the device is mounted per their instructions.
I know of people that have been ticketed for not having the device mounted dead center near the rear view mirror.
Personally, I have it mounted so that the rear view mirror hides it.
Never had a problem.
The rain sensor is visible from the outside of the car. In the area of where the tinted portion of the windshield, by the rear view mirror. Look carefully and you will see a senor there. - Sorry no pics.
