Have a 2005 C240 4 Matic, we've owned the car for a couple of years now. No major problems. Recerntly you guys helped me witha transmission leak I had, found the tran. sensor o ring leaking on the side of the transmission. Had to remove the plastic twist sensor to replace the parts and all leaks went away.
Well yesterday something extremely strange happened. I was driving on a long strip road, I was in the mood to accelerate by pushing the pedal, the increased speed and was really flying..... I backed off on the gas pedal just to take it easy a bit and than "attempted" to accelerate again. Well, the transmission didn't catch, it was as if I put the car in nuetral but I DIDN'T!! Once the speed came down a bit the transmission starting working again. Again, punched the gas the car flew, I backed off on the gas for a second, than attempted to accelerate and the car was in "nuetral". This is a problem, can anyone help? Thank you.

This is typical of low fluid level. Please check that first.
