I might be mixing it with Diesel as we order Lubro Moly for both - Diesel and Gas. Was just relying on my memory - I guess I am getting old and it does not serve me as well as it used to. I'll let you know for sure what we are using for Gas (might be 4100, but I am not sure) when I will get back to the shop on Tuesday. We've being ordering it for years so I do not even pay attention to what is written on the can.
Sorry, I took couple days off to make long weekend an extra long
Igor.

You are right, we are using Lubro Moly 5W-40 LEICHTLAUF HIGH TECH - it comes in 205L drums. You can also get it in 60L containers.
Jugs are only used for Diesel and we also have Motul in jugs.
Sorry for confusion,

Autobahn Motors here in Belmont, CA says they recommend Mobil 1 Synthetic 5w-40 only. I'm going to pick up some later this week and will be able to tell for sure if it's ESP Formula M or some other variation. But if it's ESP, that is spec 229.51 ....

Again, as I've said before, Shell Rotella MB Approved oil is available at Wally Mart for about 24 bucks for a 4 gallon jug.
And I hear tell that 0w-40 is on sale for about 6 at Kragens , or whatever they are called now.

Just dropped by the dealership today -- they have both ESP (229.31/51) and non-ESP (229.3/5) versions of the Mobil 1 5w-40 , $8.25 and $7.50/qt, respectively. They said they put the ESP in all diesels, non-ESP in everything else. Also said that 0w-40 should be fine as well ... they have just chosen 5w-40 due to moderate climate in the area.
Mobil 1 0w-40 is now on sale at the auto stores for around $5.50/qt.
Although it's $15 more I think I'll stick with the dealership's choice this time around ... Mobil 1 Formula M 5w-40 (non ESP).

Check O'Reilly's, Autozone and Walmart. I think I saw it at one or more of these places. (Pep Boys didn't have it). Right now O'Reilly's has a $5.49 special.

BooHoo!!! No Oreillys store in PA. Autozone and Walmart are reg. price. Walmart has it for 6.47 always in my area.

Yeah, I just checked ... Walmart here, same price. Of course I have to drive 20 miles to the nearest store that stocks it ... there goes $10 in gas plus a $5 bridge toll ... at $7.50/qt I think I'll stick with the MB dealership right across the street from work
