Torque strut bushing - Elastomeric cups
I noticed a version of the torque strut (upper control arm) bushing that includes two of these "elastomeric cups", which appear to be dust shields.

The part number for the bushing with these is 204-333-11-14, whereas the bushing without is 203-333-10-14.
From the look of it these are nothing more than dust boots ... and from the part numbers it looks like they are intended for the w204 models. My w203 does not have them, and I don't intend to add them when I replace the bushings unless there is a good reason to.
Can anyone confirm the purpose of these, and which models they are intended for.
Thanks. John
