Steering wheel trim

Hi guys,

Wanted to find out if any of you had repainted the steering wheel trim where the buttons are located

As you can see from the close up pics below, they are peeling a bit and would like to touch it up a bit.

Any instructions on how to remove the trim and specific color/paint info would be much appreciated guys. TIA!

Found this: https://mbworld.org/forums/c-class-w...-swap-how.html
guessing that should be it right?

It's a special ceramic filled PVA. Easier to just fit new painted parts. That said, FrankW had some painted parts redone on his C32 a while back.

Unfortunately, I'm going to have to agree with Glyn. I'd think that replacing would be a much better long-term solution, especially since it looks like you use the buttons often.

Peydidy: Nice was it easy to take out those trims? Is it just clips latching on to it? And did you apply the wrap yourself? Any tips/points on applying a wrap (am considering it now)

It wasn't like wrapping most things because it was so small and I bought one that was pre-cute out. It was basically like putting on a sticker. I just did it really slowly and carefully to make sure the wholes aligned well and so there wouldn't be bubbles in it either. you could just wrap it your self with any kind of vinyl but I just bought the ebay cut out ones. Also clean the surface before applying. I Never took out the trims to put it on either just stuck it right on.

Ya obviously, but this cost me $13 with shipping, and 30 seconds to install. While real Carbon fiber would cost WAY more and take WAY more time. Also what do you mean by "Mercedes not so cheap car to put stickers like from bubble gum"

Meaning that Mercedes is too nice of a car to put on the kind of CF stickers you put on your car.

Meaning, I think, that he's not aware that these cars are worth between $3k and $15k now.
