AMG Brake kit for C-Class Sport Coupe (CL203)?
Hi there guys,
I was wondering if there is any genuine AMG Brake kit out there for sale that can fit nicely with the 2003 C230 Sport Coupe? I really need to upgrade my brake kit and i reckon that the AMG is obviously the best... please do share, show photos and everything regarding the AMG Brake kit if your Sport Coupe is fitted with one.
Thanks
Something like this:
If Carbon ceramic is available that'll be super awesome!
And currently i fitted my Coupe with this brilliant 19" AMG Forged Wheels measuring 235/35-19 + 265/35-19

If you want a two-piece rotor, Racing Brake makes one for the C32 brake option; more info is on my thread.
I am curious why you need more brakes, though.

well if he has forged wheels then they should be light since the forging process makes wheels super light and strong. Even getting a set of the sport calipers will be good enough to stop the car.
Usually you should upgrade your brakes when getting larger wheels due to the increase in mass requiring the brakes to work harder to stop the rolling resistance of the larger usually heavier wheels.
I say look for a set of sport calipers and save a few hundred bucks and still get good braking performance. Just slap on some akebono ceramic pads and call it a day

To the op - check the AMG W203 forum - some people have upsized from the std C32/C55 brakes to the CLKs, I believe, which are closer in appearance/size to the brakes in your pics. Backspacing may be an issue with an extremely large setup, though.

I swapped on the C32 brakes a few months ago onto my C320 coupe. Here's some pics : https://mbworld.org/forums/c-class-w...s-finally.html
They work much better than the stock brakes and help reduce the difference between braking in the C320 and my C63. I did a bit of research and doing a C63 swap was not as simple a swap, so I didn't go much farther into that.
I got the calipers from a dealer in the US and the rotors from Brakeperformance.com. Worked out pretty good overall.

I bought stock C32 calipers from 2003, they bolt directly to the mounting points for the stock C320/230 caliper mounting points with no issue. The rotors are the same size as the C32 rotors (you need the right sized rotors for the C32 calipers). Set of decent pads and it's all good. The front C32 calipers are obviously bigger (and look better) than stock. The C32 rears are very similar to the stock, but they are slightly larger (but just as ugly).
You will need 17" or bigger wheels to clear the C32 calipers.
The install is fairly easy so long as you know how to bleed the brakes. I did not install mine as I needed wheel bearing front and back so I got a friend to install them.
I couldn't tell you about sellers, I bought my calipers here: http://www.oediscountparts.com/parts...AULIC%20SYSTEM and my rotors from here: http://brakeperformance.com/brake-ro....php?did=20228

A set will pop up on the classifieds here every so often, as C32 people upsize their brakes. Generally cheaper than ebay, and much cheaper than RMEuropean or other sites; they'd be used, of course, so you have to factor that into your decision.

I tried to fit some 17 inches rims and the caliper dont let me installed them..maybe the rim internal was different but that was my first impression.
In the afternoon i will take a pic of the rim - tire - caliper to check out the real clearance.
I know that for the C32 AMG SC there wasnt any 17 inch option..

I still find this interesting, I doubt that MB would use a diff caliper on the C32 AMG SC, but who knows...
That third pic looks like it has the same C32 caliper that I used, and mine clear fine using the MB Evolution 17" wheels.
Now if paqueras tried a different 17" wheel I wouldn't be surprised if they didn't clear. If MB used a different caliper for the C32 AMG SC I doubt they would clear either, especially if they used any caliper that was larger.
Paqueras - were you able to get a good shot of your front wheel / caliper to compare?

I put the '04.5 brakes (F&R) on my '03 and it is a night and day difference, truly stops on a dime now. Four piston front calipers and two piston rear. I can't see needing more unless maybe you're tracking the car. These come up on EBay every now and again at a reasonable price. Direct bolt on, just need to add the matching rotors.
