Koni shock w/ H&R springs or H&R Cup Kit

I have a problem, I recently got my 02' C320 w/o sports package from a private owner. I'm starting to upgrade the wheels/springs/shocks, but I'm not sure which one to pick. I have already ordered the wheels, which are on the way. I have purchased the 18x7.5f and 18x8.5r replica Brabus IV (had to get the replicas due to my budget). Now here is where I'm stuck.
The spings/shock combo: the options I'm looking at are either:

1. H&R Sport Spring Set w/ the Koni Sport shocks/struts. The springs on this package is 1.4f / 1.3r. The Koni shock can also be adjusted (height).

2. H&R Cup Suspension Kit, which has everything included. the drop on this package is a little more aggressive at 2.0f / 1.4r.

The prices for both packages are approximately the same from $1000.00 to $1300.00 installed. My question is: Which ride is better overall. I know everyone's preference is different so what I'm looking for is a reasonable ride that is not too harsh. Also, I'm worried that the cupkit may be too low where it would take too much effort to drive the car (speed bumps, pot holes, driveways). I want the gap in the wheel well as small as possible but not to the point where I have to worry about every little bump and pothole in the road. I also heard that there may be Bilstein shocks available for my car..Is this true? 1st posting...Please HELP!!!!

I would think that the cup kit would have a closer match between shocks and springs, since they are engineered together. And I don't think the lowering would be too much with 18" wheels. I would go with the cup kit.

Get the Cup-Kit but that price seems fricken obsurd.

Check with evosport.com or call Ben (Mach430) to get pricing from them.

TireRack has the cup kit for $619 right now, and installation shouldn't be too bad. Definitely less than $1000 total.

I want to lean towards a cup kit even though I have no idea what the differences are between those two. I've just seen more posts with my own eyes with the cup kit then rather with the shocks and springs seperatley.

If you want a stock ride with the lowered look, get the cup kit. If you want a more sporty ride than stock and lowered look, get the springs & Koni shocks.

The cup kit is not too low. I have it on my coupe with the following wheels & no rubbing problems or other problems.
F=18x8 225/40
R=18x9 255/35

Hey thanks guys. I was leaning towards the Cupkit and it looks like the Cupkit wins. I have one other question:
I was planning to get 235x40f / 255x35r for my tires. Does anyone have any sugestions. I spoke to Luke from TireRack and he was tell me about some Yokohama es100 for $600.00 all four. Has anyone tried these out yet? Thanks for all the good info...

I have briefly driven on the ES100's, but they're not on my car. However, they are supposed to be pretty good and they're pretty cheap too. I will probably get them next spring. I think that front size should be 225-40 though.
