Exclamation GROUP BUY - Navteq 2012 v.9 Navigation DVD

Hi guys,
I just bought another W203 a 2007 to be specific and I want to buy the new 2012 Navteq update dvd BUT I think 278.00 for the disc is crazy so I wanted to start a group buy. I've started and participated in the Nav disc group buys in the past and I was hoping there would be an interest in getting in on this one. Im looking for 15 people to bring the cost to about 19 per person. I went to Navteqs website and they only have the update disc for the 2005-2007 W203 models.

Here is the price break down...

Disc 249.00
Shipping 9.95
Taxes 19.10
Total 278.05
GB per person 18.50

Let me know what you guys think. Thanks.

Or is he saying he will burn/copy the DVD?

i.e We ship in $19 each and buy one DVD and then make copies?

**After rereading. It's an update disc? So we would basically send the DVD around 15 times.

If it's an update disc, does that mean we would just load the update disc into our navi system, do the update, then take it out, and put back our original DVD?

I thought this would work like the W203 2001-2004 Comand units where you just update with the dvd and then you can send the dvd along to the next person BUT after doing some research the W203 2005-2007 Comand needs to have the DVD in it at all times...we would have to burn the DVD and send out copies.

You def. would have to burn copies. Make sure all the copies work, of course

Not to be a stick in the mud, but I assume this type of discussion would be frowned upon by the forum moderators? I don't think the license that accompanies the product supports this type of use...

BTW, I purchased mine from Navteq for $249.00

Yeah, who wants to be a guinea pig for that My thoughts are that a burned copy of anything(music, movies, etc.) doesn't always come out well.
