Need some opinions on three different grills

I was looking into getting a new grill for my W203 and i have narrowed it down to three choices
I wanted to get the same black grill in this picture but after looking at it i really do not like how it is flat black and kinda stands out from the rest of the car.

This grill was my second choice but i do not know if i like the fact that the large star in the middle is made of plastic.

The last grill pictured was my other choice although it is very similar to the previous grill pictured i like how the genuine star goes in the middle of the grill instead of a plastic one. However i am concerned that the star that goes in the middle is going to be a bit small making it look weird. Also this grill is the most expensive so if i get it i guess i would just have to hope i really like it or i will feel like i wasted money.

Thank you for reading this is my first post so please bare with me if my wording is not correct. Also if any of you have better ideas then the ones i posted feel free to inform me.

You don't have to get a plasti dipped OEM grille. you can get it in gloss black like this dude's awesome W203: https://mbworld.org/forums/c-class-w...full-mods.html

I honestly think that the grille with the star in it looks a bit tacky. It really defeats the purpose of have the hood star/badge.

Hi and welcome aboard!
It all comes down to personal preference, I like keeping things minimalistic so I'm not into grills with stars, but that's just me. You've got a black car, it'll look sweet with any of the OEM grills (4 and 3 fins) painted in glossy black. The 4-fins go better with a more old-school look, especially if you are not running (or planning to run) projector headlights for xenon/HID. You can't go wrong with either choice.

its honestly up to you, which look you like. People go from the one with the star back to the oem then back to the star. Its personal preference really

It would probably be cheaper for you to paint the grille yourself.

I vote for the 1st one. You could plasti dip your grill to look exactly like that for $10..

all the first one is, is an OEM grill painted. you can do this yourself very easily, why spend 100+ on another girl when you can just spend 10-20 on a can of dupont glossy black and a can of clear coat. I have mine painted black chrome, its a kit you can buy at any parts store for 20 from dupont as well.

easy to do

just remove grill

wet sand with 600-800 grit wet sand paper then wet sand with a finer grit like 1000-1200

primer if you or just apply 2-3 layers of paint in 15 min intervals and allow to dry. then you can do the same with some clear coat.

after allowing the clear to dry, you can wet sand it again with a really fine wet sand 1600 or so then buff and polish it to get it shining like the car paint.
