Moving to SOCAL in a couple of weeks and just bought this 2003 coupe with 33,000 miles. I have been wanting one for awhile now just trying to find the right one. It's going to be my daily driver.

First things I plan on doing are:
New stereo
Tint the windows
tinted side markers (get rid of the orange)
Take off the 1.8 on the side and the C230 on the rear
New headlights
Taillights

Would like to make some performance upgrades like air intake, pulleys, ecu, etc Any thoughts?

Wheels will come but that will be towards the end. Can't wait. I have a couple other projects. I have a 1993 GMC Typhoon and getting my wifes 1992 VW Cabriolet restored when we get to SOCAL.

Welcome to the forum! Nice find with Low miles! Sounds like your mods are going down the right track. You can also get euro impact strips that would eliminate the side markers are give your car a nice clean look. Performance upgrades would be a the usual intake, exhaust, and a ECU tune. I think they make an under drive pulley for the M271 but im not sure.

Where can I get the euro strip? That would be the better look. Is there a good place to buy the performance mods?

I would look around. I think Gary ( a forum sponsor) still sells them. It depends on your budget. Kleemann makes good products but they are expensive. http://www.kleemann.dk/Performance/E...200K_M271.aspx

So I was looking on autotrader and found an 05 E55 wagon in gray with 73k miles. The coupe is mine and just waiting for the paperwork to come in the mail. I know they are 2 different cars, but don't know which one to get. The wagon is alittle more than double the coupe. Price is not the contributing factor in picking either one. Coupe has 33k miles.

Sometimes low miles are not a good thing. I would keep the coupe honestly. If it was an E55 sedan than I would be more inclined. But unless you need to haul a lot of stuff (and very fast) than I would keep the coupe.

Going with the coupe. The wagon is nice, I love the color. The guy said it was still available but has not return any of my emails, needed to make a decession. I do have a kid but we have our lexus and don't really haul much stuff. Thanks for the input.

before doing all these wasteful mods

i would check to see which radiator u have...replace the AT plug adapter on the tranmissions and drain and fill the fluid

with those low miles adding in techron concentrate fuel cleaner will clean everything...(only one that actually works)

call the dealership to check that the recalls 3 were done and 1 extended warranty for the air bag harness

i can help u avoid problems down the road but the 03 is a piece of ****

Find a good local independent MB shop in your area. Much cheaper than the dealer.

Just be careful on "power" mods for your car, most have proven to not do much at all; your car's engine has proven a tough nut to crack.

If and when you do get new rims, the C7 rims are usually in demand here, so you'll be able to recoup some of your money that way.

Enjoy the modding.

Thanks. I took it to the dealer because I have a warranty that covered the issues. I have a bent rim, $565 from the dealer. Looking for a set of new ones but I can't feel that it is bent when I drive.

Since the new year has started, it is time to start making some changes to the Coupe. I changed the plugs and put in a K&N air filter in the car. What a difference. I also added new floor mats and Infected's carbon fiber intake recently. With only 33,000 miles on the car the plugs were looking pretty bad.

Next items to be done are tinting the windows and tinted side markers.

how much you paid for for the C230? that's really low miles

and i see you have a CT200h too, how do you like it? i plan to get one as my second car i always get the CT as loaner when i drop my car off for service and their MPG are AMAZING... doesn't matter how i drive i constantly get 39-44MPG and it last me more than a week not only that it cost 30bux to fill up, my dealer let me keep the loaner for awhile
